Stocked for the holidays a Bulgarian Merlot and a Sangre del Toro. Also and Argentinian white.
Just indulged myself, after three overloaded days at work, in the last glass of the French Chateau Haut-Florin Bordeaux.
Difficult wine. Stern.
to say that i was skeptical about avatar would mean to say far less than what i actually thought about the new james cameron movie. i’m not a big fan of his creations, i don’t remember having the patience of seeing titanic, not even for the special effects, but i know he manages to get out there blockbusters. i did question avatar movie from this perspective, reasoning that this one will be a bluff.
how does he think people will fall for the story, i would be ironic, referring to the movie poster, trailers and any info that slipped out before premiere. he took some marketing research results and thought:
and the list continues.
i was wrong.
the story is not at all new, the dialogue is flat, and in one way or another, the movie has been done before. but nothing to match avatar. this is not a film for the eyes and mind, is one for the senses, one for the inner fantasies about flying and living in a land created by and a for a beautiful mind. places like pandora grow vividly in our dreams and james cameron projected that on a 3D cinema screen.
